Nope, but the story and Mazinger Z design were used in Shin Mazinger.

Ah I remember when DPS [Dynamic Pro Scanlations] translated it. It was interesting to finally be able to read where the Kedora and Shin Mazinger Z idea came from since I had only seen it in Shin Mazinger at the time and knew it was based off a special one-shot chapter. Good times.
