Discotek Media announced its latest upcoming release via Facebook this evening. The distributor will be bringing Saint Seiya movies 1-4 to DVD, with movies 1 and 2 on the first DVD, and 3 and 4 on the second. The movies will be in the original Japanese with English subtitles.

The first four Saint Seiya movies are Evil Goddess Iris (1987), The Heated Battle of the Gods (1988), Legend of Crimson Youth (1988), and Warriors of the Final Holy Battle (1989). Further details on the release have yet to be announced.

The North American home video distributor Discotek announced on Monday through its Facebook page that it will be releasing four Saint Seiya movies on DVD. The four films will be released under the names Evil Goddess Iris (Saint Seiya Gekijōban), The Heated Battle of the Gods (Saint Seiya: Kamigami no Atsuki Tatakai), Legend of Crimson Youth (Saint Seiya: Shinku no Shōnen Densetsu), and Warriors of the Final Holy Battle (Saint Seiya: Saishu Seisen No Senshi Tachi).

A later post specified that the films would be released with Japanese audio subtitled in English, with the first two movies (Evil Goddess Iris and The Heated Battle of the Gods on one DVD, and the other two on a second DVD.

The new Saint Seiya Omega anime started airing on April 1, and is being simulcast by Crunchyroll. Viz Media published the 28th Saint Seiya manga volume in North America in 2010, and ADV Films and DiC Entertainment released the Saint Seiya anime in North America. The Saint Seiya video anime spinoff, Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas - Meiō Shinwa, launched its second season last year. The media-distribution website Crunchyroll streamed both seasons of Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas - Meiō Shinwa in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Ireland.

Is this out yet? I'm a SS fan myself, although I wished they acquired other Kurumada titles too.
