Along with the other two Enma, one of my top demon anime based in the works of Go Nagai. Taking a mature approach, the focus is reminiscent to that Golgo 13, in the sense that what drives the plot is the story behind the victims, much like Golgo's targets, and like Golgo, Enma prevails as he's far above his enemies. I really enjoy this anime and I truly recommend it to those who enjoy suspense over action, because, while it has some action, the focus of interest is the drama of the victims, not the action. And if you know other works of Go Nagai, you will find very interesting allusions, like the very first victim and her father. While not officially released in many places, it was well distributed in the American market, so it is well known around the world, thankfully. I believe that Enma is the most versatile work of Nagai thanks to the multiple works in which the characters have appeared, always bringing something different, be it manga or anime.
