| As much as I've come to dislike anime centered around schoolgirls, I really can't wait to see this. I find the characterizations curious, however. Z is kinda like Kouji with a moe texture, so that's fine, but I don't get why Great is a kuudere gamer and Grendizer is a proper lady ("ojou-sama"). | |

| Tetsuya is less hot headed than Kouji which is why Great is kinda calm in this one. Duke Fleed is a prince in Grendizer, and he's usually very considerate and caring, especially for Kouji and company. | |

| I understand Duke's case, but I recall Tetsuya being a bit more daring than Kouji. In Great Mazinger vs. Getter Robo, he got pummeled and none of his weapons worked, so instead of retiring, he headbutted the monster and continued to fight. | |

| I remember Tetsuya getting into a fight with the Getter Robo team for a very petty reason which I can't remember in one of the movies. However, in the tv series, while he's a jerk, he does remain a certain level of professionalism, considering he was trained like a soldier since his childhood. I think that's the kind of personality they're going for here. | |

| Character designer, Tetsuya Kawakami on Robot Girls Z. "To shake things up a bit I asked Mr. Kawakami about his work on the upcoming Robot Girls Z (you can see the promo episode here). I wanted to know what did he have to do to turn such classic robot designs into cute girls. I also asked him what his favorite mecha design was. At first he was surprised that anyone in America was aware of the show. But I assured him as a mecha aficionado it was a show I had my eye on. After that little revelation he said he had two major focuses when turning beloved mecha into bishoujo. First and foremost they should be cute. Beyond that he wanted the designs to help facilitate anyone being able to sit down and laugh at what was going on in the show. This sparked a bit of a conversation between Mr. Adachi and Mr. Kawakami about their favorite robots but sadly due to time constraints that part of the conversation could not be translated. Mr. Kawakami did mention his favorite mecha was actually the villainous Doublas M2 from Mazinger Z. He also said he would take word back to Japan that there were fans of Robot Girls Z in the states." | I found this image of all the girls on the Mazinger Wiki. I can name Z, Great, Grendizer, Jeeg, Getter Robo, and Gavarian, but can anyone recognize the other three on the left? | |

| Yeah I saw that.
I wonder if they'll ever do the 7 generals, as those are from Great Mazinger.

Personally i want to see Count Brocken first, or maybe yet a Version of the TV Devilman. | |
