Yeah, I figured that it wasn't him. I think he might've been the editor's idea or something like that. I think by the last few issues sales were slumping and they suggested "Give Susumi a boyfriend." "Make it more like Kekko Kamen." I could be wrong of course.

Maboroshi is so beautiful and the mask so original ^^, she's one of my favorite Nagai characters with Kekkou and Sayaka Yumi from Mazinger Z.

I'm not into heroine peril and humiliation, but I find that it's an interesting plot point when the villain unmasks the heroin, and then she finds it within herself to overcome her embarrasment and give the villain his just desserts.
