Super Robot Awesome

Recently, I was looking around on the internet and found a video of one of the fights in New Getter Robo.



Well, I didn't find the part of the fight that follows on from that, so I decided to make it myself.



This ended up being a lot more fun than I thought it would be, so I've started gathering up some of my favorite robot moments and just posting them to YouTube for people to enjoy under the name Super Robot Awesome.

Now, I know a lot of super robots, but I've not watched everything I know. If you've got a super robot moment you'd like to see, let me know. I'll watch it and put it up there. Real robots can also qualify if they're awesome enough, but this is the baseline:

How about Getter Robo armagedden?

I have been wanting to do an Armageddon video. Since I've done both New and now Shin vs. Neo



Armageddon will be next, though I want to put a little distance between showing the same robot. There's a few more to work my way through, I have a Combattler V, Gaiking, and Dancouger up next. After those three, I'll probably put in some more Getter, because can you ever really have enough?

All right, I'm having a little trouble with the DVD, so Armageddon will be a little delayed. Have some Kaiser in the mean time.

I went with this part because there's already a lot of affection for the fight with Metal Beast Dragon and Stoner Sunshine, deservedly so, but I love the flow of this part of the fight.

I'd like to see some fights from the Toei Era.

The 70s? We're going to be doing a rush a 70s stuff soon because those are the kinds of robots that need more exposure. I've uploaded one for Combattler V.



And there should be some Daitarn coming up soon.

Yes I'm glad that got re-uploaded. How about the Original Dynamic Special in one those crossover movies?

Awright Armageddon
you're the best. how about...hm..shin Mazinger?!, where he fights the Kikaijuu Army?
I think it's one of the last episodes.

Shin Mazinger may come up in the next cycle. I'm posting Getter and Mazinger together, so the next set will be from the 70 series, then back to the present day series. If I get my hands on one of those movies, I'll definitely put up Final Dynamic Special.

Since it was asked for, here's a little more 70s flair with Invincible Steel Man Daitarn 3.

I'm not sure if this counts as the Toei era since it was made in the 80s, but I've got some Dancouger.



Also, I have a lot of affection for a show within a show called Gekiganger III. It was basically a parody of 70s super robot shows, primarily Getter. That didn't stop it from being totally sweet.

now you've made me watch Dacouga again..

I need to sit down and watch Dancouga. My brother's also helping me gather these and handed me that one. I'm very interested in the show now.

A little more modern era this time. I gotta say, I really like the stuff Yoshiyuki Tomino does when he's able to just let loose and have fun with a series.

Even more modern, I think, but this time Dynamic Pro. Kotetsushin Jeeg!



Double Jeegs wasn't the only totally sweet thing about this show, after all.

Jeeg has one of the most awesome attack's I've seen.
I've never seen any other robot, using its arm to beat somthing up.

Still working on getting some of the older shows, so here's a little more New Getter and some EVA.

EVA has one of nicest animations I've seen. keep it up.

Yes, I admit, I really like seeing someone's face getting gripped up and then exploded. Or plowed into something. Or just grabbed so hard they pass out. That was the only good part of the Nadesico movie.

This dog isn't a robot, but this is awesome enough to count.
